After a stint to the “Ecole Normale de Musique” in Paris (Victoria Melki’s class), he deepened his art with pianists such as Michel Béroff, Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen, Raymond Trouard, Denis Pascal, and Jos van Immerseel (for the pianoforte).

He also holds the Certificate of Aptitude of piano. He teaches this discipline at the Conservatoire of Melun (France). He is very active in his region, where his teaching position allows him to approach many repertoires: concertos, contemporary music shows (John Cage …).

In 2014 and 2015 he was among the jury panel of the International Piano Competition of Vulaines-sur-Seine (France).

At the same time as he teaches, he gives public concerts in Paris (Theater of Ile St. Louis-Paul Rey, St Merry Church, Luxembourg Temple) and also in his surrounding area (Chartrettes, Avon, Fontainebleau …) and also in other regions (as in August 2016 during the Lembron Musical Week).

More specifically, he works singers’ accompaniment with Anne Grappotte, as well as Paul von Schilhawsky and Martin Isepp (German lied), Christopher Underwood (English melody), Rolf Reinhardt (oratorio). Etienne Goepp collaborated with many singers such as Robert Expert, Bertrand Bontoux, Isabelle Philippe, Eric Beillevaire and Hélène Blajan.

Lastly he also dedicates himself to chamber music. He was finalist at the International Sonatas Competition of Vierzon (France). He plays a lot of piano duet with Olivier Mallory and he recorded all the piano and violin sonatas by Swiss-German composer Joachim Raff, accompanied by the violinist Marie-France Varnerot.
