Louise Akili

 

French pianist Louise Akili is a graduate of the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris (classes Anne Le Bozec and Claire Desert) and  of the Paris-Boulogne High School (classes of Hugues Leclère and Philippe Ferro).
She is currently studying the CNSMDP piano teacher training program.
Holder of the State Diploma, she teaches piano  at the Chopin Conservatory of the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
Having received the precious advice of Cécile Emery, Macha Belooussova, Christian Ivaldi, Jeff Cohen, Yves Henry and Emmanuel Olivier, she enjoys playing both as a soloist and in  chamber music training and enjoys the marriage of the arts, her dancing activity being one of the aspects.
Laureate of the Royaumont Foundation and the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, Louise regularly performs at concerts in France and abroad.
She has been heard at the Nohant Festival Chopin, at the Piano Festival of Saint-Ursanne in Switzerland, at the Romanian Atheneum in Bucharest, at the Deauville Books and Music Festival, at the Grand Théâtre de Provence, at the Château d’Ecouen, at the Arsenal of Metz, the Avignon Festival, the Ars Terra Festival, the Chaise-Dieu Festival, the Kiosque de Nancy, the Compiègne Imperial Theater and Paris at the Pompidou Center, the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Musée at the Hôtel de Béhague, the Grand Salon des Invalides, the Collège des Bernardins, the Delacroix Museum, the Petit Palais, the Théâtre de l’Ile Saint-Louis, Salle Cortot, the Cercle de l’Union Interallied, at the Jean-Jacques Henner Museum, at the Bedford Hotel with the Friends of Maurice Ravel,
the Musée d’Orsay and the Philharmonie. She has been invited by Gaëlle Le Gallic on France Musique as well as by TV5 Monde in the Africa Journal.

Curious to discover a varied repertoire, the young artist excels in a wide range of music ranging from the Baroque period to contemporary creation within all possible formations.
Louise regularly collaborates with soprano Axelle Fanyo, violinists Rachel Koblyakov and Hugues Borsarello, cellists Thomas Chartré and Raphaël Ginzburg as well as with composer Olga Neuwirth.
She also performs with the French Youth Orchestra in 2014 under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies.
In 2013, Louise plays Pierrot Lunaire from Schönberg at the CRR in Paris.
In February 2018, Louise was the soloist of Igor Stravinsky’s Piano and Wind Concerto with the Orchester de Picardie under the direction of Arie Van Beek.
Louise perfected herself at the Académie Ravel 2018 in the classes of Marie-Josèphe Jude and Miguel Da Silva.
The quartet formed by Pierre Alvarez, Thomas Levier, Edward Luengo and Louise Akili receives the endowment of Fond Dany Pouchucq for his interpretation of Guillaume Lekeu’s Piano Quartet (Unfinished).
In October 2018, Louise is awarded the Nguyen Thien Dao Fellowship  International Center Nadia and Lili Boulanger.
