This is how the Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin defines the pianist Fabiano Casanova after the performance of some of his compositions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charismatic and passionate pianist, winner of international piano competitions, Fabiano Casanova carries out a regular artistic activity that leads him to play as a soloist in Italy and abroad, playing for important concert societies.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Italy he played for “Societ\u00e0 dei Concerti” in Milan (Sala Puccini and Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory), Concert Season of the Symphony Orchestra of Rome (Auditorium della Conciliazione), “Societ\u00e0 del Quartetto” in Bergamo (Sala Piatti), Dal Verme Theater in Milan, Bibiena Theater in Mantua, Auditorium San Barnaba in Brescia (GIA Association).<\/span><\/p>\n

Abroad he has performed as a soloist at the Kolarac Foundation Hall in Belgrade, Rohm Music Foundation Hall in Kyoto (Japan), Airef Hall in Fukuoka (Japan), Seymour Theater Center in Sydney, Gr\u00fcnewaldsalen in Stockholm, Saint Martin in the Fields in London (for the “Pianists of the world” series) and at Arcueil’s \u201cSatie Festival\u201d in Paris.<\/span><\/p>\n

His repertoire ranges from the Baroque of Bach and Scarlatti to the contemporary pages of C. Vine, G. Ligeti and R. Shchedrin.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was the winner of several national and international piano competitions: in 2000 he won the “Grand Prix” at the “Shabyt Inspiration” International Piano Competition in Astana, Kazakhstan; in 2002 he was awarded by the Secretary of the Mozarteum of Salzburg R.Angemuller, as winner of the first prize at the \u201cVanna Spadafora\u201d International Piano Competition of Venetico Superiore (Messina).<\/span><\/p>\n

Born in Rome in 1974, he completed his musical studies at the \u201cG. Verdi \u201din Milan under the guidance of M \u00b0 O. Minola, graduating in 1994 with full marks, honors and special mention.<\/span><\/p>\n

He attended several Masterclasses and advanced courses, meeting important figures of international pianism such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Alexander Lonquich, Brigitte Engerer and Eliss\u00f2 Virsaladze, who contributed to enrich his training. Later he continued his studies with Konstantin Bogino, with whom he studied at the “S. Cecilia “in Bergamo and at the Arts Academy in Rome.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chamber music has a very important role in his concert activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

He’s shared the stages with leading musicians like Boris Baraz, Igor Volochine, Alexander Chaushian and Diemut Poppen.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has a piano duo with pianist Sara Costa. The duo has achieved in a short time numerous awards: in 2019 they got a II Level Master in Piano and Chamber Music with full marks and honors at “C.Pollini” Conservatory” in Padua and in 2019 they recorded their first four hands CD, released for Da Vinci Classics label and winner of Global Music Award in California as Best album.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200bRecently he has started a collaboration with the pianist Massimiliano Motterle.<\/span><\/p>\n

They recently published a CD for Da Vinci Classics with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in the transcription for two pianos by Liszt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charismatic and refined teacher, he combines the Italian piano tradition with the Russian school of the H. Neuhaus tradition, having had as mentor the Maestro Konstantin Bogino, a pupil of the great Russian teacher Vera Gornostaeva.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has been passionately dedicated to teaching for about fifteen years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Initially a teacher for pre-academic courses at the “G. Donizetti” Conservatory in Bergamo and at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Bergamo, he then became a teacher for the AFAM University Courses in various Italian conservatories (Foggia, Padua and currently Adria).<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, he worked alongside Master Konstantin Bogino as a collaborator first at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Bergamo for the Postgraduate Courses and from 2019 to the present at the Accademia Perosi in Biella for the High Postgraduate courses, which welcome talents from all over the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Italy he was also invited to hold piano and piano duo masterclasses at important institutions such as the Perosi Academy in Biella and the “B. Gigli” Civic School of Music in Recanati.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was also invited to hold numerous masterclasses in Serbia and Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of his students have been awarded in national and international piano competitions and he has been invited as a jury member in competitions such as the International Piano Competition of San Don\u00e0 di Piave, the Contest of Young Pianists “MihailoVukdragovi\u0107” \u0160abac in Serbia and the Odin Piano Competition in Estonia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2015 he has been president of the Cluster Music Association with which, together with fellow musicians, he intends to promote musical and interdisciplinary events.<\/span><\/p>\n

He is the Artistic Director, together with Sara Costa, of the concert season “Il Castello Armonico”, which takes place in prestigious historic homes in Bergamo area with the aim of promoting young international talents.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
