Jeanne-Marie Savourat

Jeanne-Marie Savourat studied music at the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse de Troyes with Jean Patero (flute) and Irma Kolassi (singing) where she obtained her prizes in flute, chamber music, musical training and singing. She continued her studies in flute and voice at the National Conservatories of Reims and Boulogne, at the European Conservatory of Paris, and at the National School of Music and Dance of Evry with flutists Pierre-Yves Artaud, Nicolas Brochot, Pierre Roullier and in voice with Liliane Mazeron and Christine Demangel. She has won several prizes in flute, singing and chamber music. She participated in master classes with Michel Debost and Michel Moraguès.

Winner of the Bergerac and Illzach international chamber music competitions and of the UFAM competition, she has performed with the European Symphony Orchestra, the French Symphony Orchestra, Ars Nova, Stringendo, the Versailles Symphony Orchestra, the French Flute Orchestra, the Bel Arte Orchestra.

She plays in various chamber music formations within the framework of the Musicales de la salle Ravel de Levallois. She has been invited to perform in the festivals of Le Vigan, Houlgate, Printemps des poètes chinois in Beijing, Padiès, Lyon sur Mer, at the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens, at the Atelier de la Main d’Or in Paris, in flute-piano recital with the pianist Virginie Martineau, with the mezzo soprano Armelle Orieux, with the wind quintet Mistral, the trio Et puis flutes, with organ.

She performs the contemporary music repertoire “Fill in”, a creation by Patrick Defossez written after Jean Genet’s tightrope walker, with the Compagnie Théâtrale Spokoïno of Troyes and with the Compagnie Au fil de l’eau at the Théâtre Jean Vilar in Saint Denis. She created the show “around Telemann’s Fantasies for solo flute and Ludovic Janvier’s Rivers Full of Voice” with the actor Grégory Gerreboo, directed by Agnès de Brunhoff at the Pavé d’Orsay in Paris.

She is currently Professor of Artistic Education incumbent at the Maurice-Ravel Conservatory in Levallois.

Jeanne-Marie Savourat is also a graduate teacher of the Alexander Technique at the CFTA (Centre de Formation de Technique Alexander) in Paris directed by Agnès de Brunhoff. She is a member of the APTA (Association des Professeurs de Technique Alexander) and gives introductory workshops on the Alexander Technique (body awareness, work on better use of the self, applications of the Alexander Technique to the instrument, to the voice), conferences (Protestant radio frequency broadcast) and individual lessons.
