There, she broadened her musical horizons by studying Analysis, Chamber Music, and Keyboard Harmony, ultimately earning a Harmony Prize and a Master\u2019s degree in Piano from the CNSM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The year 2011 marked a turning point in her career as she specialized in contemporary repertoire. She continued her studies at the CNSM with Hae-Sun Kang, violinist of the Ensemble Intercontemporain, enrolling in the Artist Diploma program specializing in contemporary repertoire and new music creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2012, Violaine further honed her skills at the New England Conservatory in Boston, studying piano with Gabriel Chodos and contemporary piano with Stephen Drury. Committed to promoting contemporary repertoire and creation, she founded the Ekla duo in 2014 with saxophonist Kevin Juillerat. In 2019, she also established the Mantra duo with Julien Gu\u00e9nebaut, focusing on modern and contemporary two-piano repertoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teaching and Pedagogy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pedagogy plays a significant role in her artistic life. After completing the teaching training program at the CNSM de Paris, Violaine obtained her Certificat d\u2019Aptitude (CA) and became a tenured professor at the Conservatory of Aulnay-sous-Bois. In 2021, she joined the faculty of P\u00f4le Sup\u201993 as a specialized didactics professor for piano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards and Recognitions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Violaine Debever has received numerous national and international awards, including prizes from Lions Club, Yamaha, Les Nuits Pianistiques d\u2019Aix-en-Provence, and the Boulogne Interpretation Competition. In 2012, she was a laureate of the Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet Foundation and also received a scholarship from ADAMI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has further refined her artistry under the guidance of renowned pianists such as Franck Braley, Marie-Fran\u00e7oise Bucquet, Andrzej Jasi\u0144ski, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and Menahem Pressler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Collaboration with Composers &amp; Contemporary Music<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deeply engaged in contemporary music, she has worked with many distinguished composers, including Jean-Claude Risset, Bruno Mantovani, Alain Savouret, Alain Louvier, Luis Na\u00f3n, Helmut Lachenmann, Marco Stroppa, and Paul M\u00e9fano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Performance Career<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Violaine has performed as a soloist with orchestras on multiple occasions and regularly appears in concerts across France, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Printemps des Po\u00e8tes (N\u00eemes)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Les Jeudis de N\u00eemes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Les Nuits Pianistiques d\u2019Aix-en-Provence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Festival Chopin in Nohant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has also performed on prestigious stages such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Festival de la Roque-d\u2019Anth\u00e9ron<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 La Folle Journ\u00e9e de Nantes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Quimper<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 IRCAM (as part of Festival Acanthes)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Aldeburgh Festival (UK)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Venice Biennale<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Festival de la Meije<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Palais de Tokyo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Cit\u00e9 de la Musique (Paris)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond France, she has performed in the United States, Greece, England, Spain, and Hungary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After studying at the Conservatories of Marseille, N\u00eemes, and Saint-Maur, Violaine Debever entered the CNSM de Paris in 2005, where she studied under concert pianist Nicholas Angelich.
