Esther Tissot-Yoon began her music studies in Buenos Aires with Raul del Castillo at Conservatorio Alberto Ginastera. In 2005, she won the First Prize of the flute competition El tiempo y el sonido and a scholarship to continue her studies in France. She obtained her Music Studies, Virtuosity, and Chamber Music Diplomas at the Rueil-Malmaison Conservatory under the guidance of Philippe Pierlot, Michel Moragues, and Pascale Feuvrier. In 2007, she won the Grand Prix d’Excellence at the Nerini International Flute Competition.
In 2011 she obtained her Flute Professor Diploma at the Rhône-Alpes Music Professor Formation Center (CEFDEM). Currently, she teaches at the Maurice Baquet Music Conservatory. She is founder of Quatuor l’Esquisse and, as a second passion, she is also flute luthier at SongJa Flutes, Paris.
