Irma Barbutsa

Born in Georgia, in 1987 she obtained the Tbilisi CNSM Diploma.
During her studies, she won several national and international competitions - Transcaucasia in 1985.
Same year she was appointed professor of violin and chamber music at the CNR in Koutaissi, her hometown.
In 1991, she began to work in Moscow, in symphony orchestras and chamber orchestras.
Since arriving in France, she has been awarded the Illzach Chamber Music Competition with the "Arabesque" trio.
She collaborates with several orchestras, in particular with the Dijon-Bourgogne Symphony Orchestra, Orleans, Besançon.
She works with the conductors Alain Antinoglu, FrançoisVerdier, Daniel Kawka, Péter Csaba.
With the ensemble "Matheus" and singer Philippe Jaroussky, she toured in Italy.
With "Orchester de Chambre Français" she toured in Italy, Germany and Spain.
Chamber music takes an important place in its activities.
She shares her musical desires with the "Janus Quartet" string quartet, the "Alcione" string trio, chamber music project and educational project within the meaning of the Dijon-Burgundy symphony orchestra.
Another very important aspect for her - teaching, sharing her experiences with young people.
She teaches at the Municipal Conservatory of Bourget and at the St.Prix Music School in the Paris region.
