Marianne Seleskovitch

Marianne Seleskovitch has developed a solid experience in choir singing first taking part in the ”Maîtrise de Paris” while studying lyrical singing, piano and composition. She gratuated from the University of La Sorbonne – Paris IV with a BA degree in Musicology and got a Prize in Lyrical Singing from the Music Academy of RueilMalmaison. She then perfected her technique with singers and pedagogues Peggy Bouveret, JeanLouis Serre and Julie Robard-Gendre.

Her experience led her to sing under the direction of great conductors (Sir Colin Davis, A. Allemandi, M. Corboz) and to take part in several lyrical productions and original creations in contemporary music. She also produces concerts of her own, in particular together with pianist Elsa Cantor, and regularly collaborates with vocal ensembles – recently ”Musicatreize” directed by Roland Heyrabedian and ”Nocturnal” directed by Sylvie Colas.

As a singer and performer, Marianne Seleskovitch also collaborates with the theatre company ”La Chambre aux Echos” and the artist collective ”Les Platonnes”. In 2016, she will have a main part in the opera production ”La Passion de Simone” by Kaija Saariaho, under the musical direction of Clément MaoTakacs and stage direction of Aleksi Barrière.

As the holder of a state-registered diploma in music pedagogy, Marianne Seleskovitch teaches singing and is at the head of several choirs and vocal ensembles. She has worked since summer 2015 with the classical music festival ”Classique au Vert” organized by the City of Paris.
