Benoit Coutris

Benoit Coutris was born in 1987 and began playing the trombone in Tours where he also studied musical analisis, composition and keyboard accompaniment. In 2008, he entered the national conservatory of music of Paris. In 2009 he became co-principal trombonist at the Pasdeloup Orchestra in Paris and in 2013, he was appointed principal trombonist of the Kwazulu-Natal Orchestra in South-Africa where he stayed one year.

Benoit Coutris performed with many national orchestras such as the Paris Opera, the Paris Chamber Orchestra, the Bordeaux Opera, the Orchester de Strasbourg among others.

 

Alongside his life as an orchestral musician, he was appointed professor of trombone at the conservatory of music Maurice Ravel in Paris, 13th district and in Choisy-le-roi and Fontenay-aux-roses.
