Katalin Péronno

Katalin Péronno-Darabont, born in Budapest, plays the Cello since the age of eight. She graduated, with Excellent mention, from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. She then continues her studies in the class of Angelica May at the Music Academy of Wien.

After her training, she integrated the orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera House where she worked during 4 years before moving to France.

In Hungary, in parallel of her teaching the cello at the Budapest Music School, she participated in programs for the Radio Bartok and in many recordings. She was a solo cellist for the Ensemble Marcato (of modern repertoire) and the Madach Theatre Budapest.

She also participated in the tours of the greatest Hungarian orchestras, such as the orchestra of the State Opera, the National Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra Failoni, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Budapest, and in other countries (France, Spain, Croatia, Germany, Austria …).

In 2003 she moved to France where she teaches, to this day, the Cello so as chamber music at the Municipal School of Croissy-sur-Seine. She also plays in a duo with pianist Irene Polya. She passed the French State Diploma for Cello teaching in 2014.
